Payments, Cancellations & Refunds Policy

GoSL Transport · Last updated 8 September 2026

How fares are charged, how cancellations work for passengers and operators, and how refunds and chargebacks are handled.

1. Fares

Fares are set and collected by the operator, quoted in New Leones, and displayed in full before you confirm a reservation. There is no hidden platform surcharge on a passenger fare. Any future booking fee will be shown separately before confirmation.

2. Paying at the terminal

The standard model is reserve online, pay cash at the terminal. Your reservation shows as Pending payment until terminal staff scan your QR code and record the cash received, after which it shows Paid at terminal and a printable receipt is available. Always obtain a receipt or check that your ticket status changed before boarding.

3. Electronic payment

Where mobile money or card payment is enabled, the transaction is processed by a licensed payment provider. We do not store full card numbers or mobile money credentials. The provider's terms and the operator's fare terms both apply, and settlement to the operator follows the schedule agreed with that operator.

4. Cancellation by a passenger

  • You may cancel a reservation in the app at any time before departure.
  • An unpaid reservation cancelled before departure carries no charge; the seat returns to sale.
  • Where a fare has already been paid, refund eligibility follows the operator's published conditions, which typically allow a full refund for cancellation well before departure, a partial refund closer to departure, and no refund for a no-show.
  • Failing to appear at the terminal by the boarding cut-off is a no-show and the seat may be resold.

5. Cancellation or disruption by an operator

  • If a departure is cancelled or suspended, every booked passenger is notified in the app.
  • You may rebook onto another departure on the same route at no extra cost, keeping your fare and payment status, and a new ticket and QR code are issued.
  • If no acceptable alternative exists and you paid, you are entitled to a full refund of the fare from the operator.

6. How refunds are made

Cash fares are refunded by the operator at the terminal where they were paid, against the booking number and receipt. Electronic payments are refunded to the original payment method. Refunds are normally completed within 14 days of approval. Keep your booking number — it is the reference for any refund claim.

7. Billing errors, fraud and chargebacks

  • Report a duplicate charge, a wrong fare or an unrecognised booking within 30 days.
  • We will examine the booking record, the terminal record and the audit log, and refer the matter to the operator or payment provider as appropriate.
  • Raising a false claim, or disputing a charge for a journey that was taken, may result in suspension of the account and recovery of the amount.
